1. As the NBA season opens up with it preseason, as a LA native i cant help but be excited for this new era and look of the Los Angeles Lakers. For starters going into this 2017-2018 the Laker's back office is putting its faith in its 26th head coach in Laker's history Luke Walton. Walton was a trusted bench supporter during the Kobe era of the Laker and as interm coach of the Warriors lead them to the best start in NBA history 24-0. With this track recored and years of experience i cant wait to see how he develops the young reloaded Laker team. Out of the newest players i am looking forward to the progression of Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma. These two players came to the Lakers scouted and evaluated by Hall of Famer Magic Johnson as possible break out talents and this season with test and prove their worth.
2. USC Trojans suffered their first loss this past weekend and i don't know how to feel. One one hand yes, we lost, however on the other hand it was a 3 point deficit and the Trojan depth chart has been riddled with injury after injury. One noticeable factor for the Trojans defeat was a flustered redshirt sophmore quarterback Sam Darnold who has been struggling with production all season. Even though Sam has been struggling in late game situations he has delivered - this game marks the first time that the clutch play of Darnold couldn't shine thru as he fumbled the ball in the final seconds to seal the game for Washington. All things considered i believe that the Trojans can comeback as the roster starts to heal and they need the captain Sam Darnold to shake the nerves and perform like we know he is capable of.

I am also very excited to watch the new lakers! Just don't know how I feel about this 0-2 preseason start. Ball will definitely turn into a star!
ReplyDeleteIts funny that the first post i decided to read to comment on turns out to talk about the lakers as i am watching the Lakers vs. Nuggets game. Kuzma showed his worth tonight.
ReplyDeleteKuzma will be nice.
DeleteI agree with you. I think that the Trojan football team has the potential to make a really big comeback in terms of performance, especially if Sam Darnold steps up to the plate. I think if we continue to stand behind our team-- good things will happen.
